Basics Overview

The Basics class will provide participants with an introduction to the key ideas of the Montessori teaching method.

Syllabus

A. Introduction to the unique features of the Montessori classroom enviornment.
B. Overview of the major learning areas in Montessori, identification of the basic equipment and materials and presentation of essential exercises in:
a) Practical Life
b) Sensorial
c) Mathematics
d) Language
e) Classroom management, ground rules, discipline, respect.
