Early Childhood: Faculty

Louise Kunert

Louise received her Early Childhood and Elementary I certification from MMTTC. She has been Director of two Montessori schools and along with her husband, Michael, has directed MMTTC since 1989. Louise is the Director of Education for MMTTC and she
teaches Montessori philosophy.

Mary Strezewski

Mary received her Early Childhood certification from MMTTC and has been on the faculty since 1992. She is the Director of the demonstration school of the Midwest Montessori Teacher Training Center. She coordinates the Early Childhood Program as well as the Child Development Project.

Dr. W. Michael Kunert

Dr. Kunert, the Administrative Director of MMTTC, lectures on Montessori philosophy. He also presents workshops on personal and professional development. Dr. Kunert holds the AMS Administrator certification.

Jodi Michaels

Jodi Michaels received her Early Childhood certification from MMTTC and is an experienced directress who taught at the Brickton Montessori School in Chicago. Jodi worked several years at Nature's Classroom in Mukwango, WI in their outdoor nature programs and was involved in beginning their Montessori Early Childhood program.

Pamela Zirko M. Ed

Pamela teaches Language, Mathematics and Practical Life in the Early Childhood program. She has received her Early Childhood and Elementary I certification from MMTTC. With more than 20 years teaching experience, Pamela is currently an Administrator at Crystal Lake Montessori School in Woodstock, Illinois.

Margaret Combs

Margaret Combs received her Early Childhood certification from MMTTC and is an experienced directress currently teaching at the Alcuin Montessori School in Oak Park, Illinois. Margaret teaches the Sensorial curriculum at MMTTC.
