Early Childhood Schedule:
Phase I :
June 18 - July 27 2012
Hrs. Mon - Thurs. 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Fri 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
July 4th Holiday - no class on Wednesday and Thursday, July 4th and 5th.
Phase II : August 2012 - June 2013
A. Regular Internship - 3hrs/day, 5 days/week for a school year.
Those 3 hrs/day must be during the morning work session supervised by a qualified Montessori Director/Directress. If there are any questions regarding extended supervision, please contact MMTTC.
Self-Directed Internship - Call MMTTC for information regarding extended internship and fees for this model of internship.
B. Institutes - Three, 3 - day institutes held during the internship year in Evanston. Thurs., Fri. and Sat. - 8:00 - 4:30 PM.
Phase III : June 10 - June 14, 2013 (second summer)
Assessments - Hrs. Mon - Fri 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Note: MMTTC will appoint a consultant to visit the student at their internship site as indicated on the Internship Site Agreement and in the Student Handbook.
Written requirements include:
1. Five Montessori Albums
2. One essay on Montessori Philosophy
3. Reading assignments from Montessori books
4
. Four school visitation reports
5. A year - long child development project
6. Montessori theory and curriculum examination
