Why should I consider Montessori training?

Countless children in schools are floundering and becoming discouraged. They need what you and Montessori self-learning environments can supply.

How can I become a Montessori teacher?

Enroll in the Montessori training program for teaching the Early Childhood, Elementary and Middle School age child. You will continue to "learn by doing" during the academic year(s) of implementation.

What can I expect after the summer phase of training?

An experienced Montessori consultant will visit you during your internship year(s). You will have detailed albums for ready reference and personal use. The Midwest Montessori Teacher Training Center is always available as a resource.

What about the staff?

A highly competent staff of Montessori teachers holding Montessori credentials and currently working with all Montessori Early Childhood, Elementary and Secondary I components, will share their expertise through lectures and demonstrations.

Where is the Training Center located?

All summer classes for the Early Childhood Training are located at 926 Noyes Street, just 1/2 block from the Noyes Street loop station in Evanston. All other classes Elementary I, Elementary II and Secondary I will be held at the Crystal Lake Montessori School at 3013 Country Club Road in Woodstock, IL 60098.

I don't live in the Chicago area. Where can I stay during class sessions?

For Early Childhood students hotels in Evanston include the Orrington Hotel 847-866-8700, Hilton 847-475-6400, Best Western 847-491-6400, and in Skokie the Extended Stay America 847-663-9031.

For all Elementary Students the following hotels offer low and competitive rates: Holiday Inn 815-477-7000, Days Inn 815-338-0629 and Super 8 at 815-337-8808. Each Hotel is located within easy driving distance to the Crystal Lake Montessori School.

The Resurrection Center located within walking distance of the Crystal Lake Montessori School on occasion will offer housing and meals for reasonable prices. Call 815-338-1032 and ask for Patti.
