BASICS: SUMMARY

Session 1: Monday June 10 - Thursday June 13, 2024 (limited availability)
Session 2: Monday July 29 – Thursday August 1,  2024
Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM daily
Location: Deerfield Montessori School, 760 North Avenue, Deerfield, IL 60015

The Basics class will provide participants with an introduction to the key ideas of the Montessori teaching method.

SYLLABUS

A. Introduction to the unique features of the Montessori classroom environment
B. Overview of the major learning areas in Montessori, identification of the basic equipment and materials and presentation of essential exercises in:

  • Practical Life
  • Sensorial
  • Mathematics
  • Language
  • Classroom management, ground rules, discipline, respect

BASICS CLASS INSTRUCTORS

Midwest Montessori Teacher Training Center will use only staff members with many years of experience in training and teaching the Montessori Method and Philosophy.

Tuition and Fees: $400
